  1. The Movie Everyone’s Talking About: Fitna (Update!)

[Bumping this up.] Geert Wilders’ film is out (in case you didn’t know by now). Here’s the full 15 minutes. It’s in Dutch, but you get the picture. (Got the English) "Subtle" is not the word that comes to mind….

  3. here’s robert spencer:

I understand their concern for their employees — sure. The employees didn’t sign up for this. But if Americans and Westerners and all people who are threatened by the global jihad and Islamic supremacism aren’t willing to give their lives for this cause, then all is lost. Because the jihadists certainly are willing to give their lives for their cause. For them, no price is too high. And if any price is too high for us, then ultimately all we will have to pay is jizya.

    What’s the optimism in that?

  4. Unbelievably scary … what good are Western ideals if no one is willing to go to bat for them?

  5. The movie is back up at LiveLeak’s site. Here’s their preface:
    ** 30/3/2008: Liveleak Update **

On the 28th of March LiveLeak.com was left with no other choice but to remove the film “fitna” from our servers following serious threats to our staff and their families. Since that time we have worked constantly on upgrading all security measures thus offering better protection for our staff and families. With these measures in place we have decided to once more make this video live on our site. We will not be pressured into censoring material which is legal and within our rules. We apologise for the removal and the delay in getting it back, but when you run a website you don’t consider that some people would be insecure enough to threaten our lives simply because they do not like the content of a video we neither produced nor endorsed but merely hosted.
