Dhimmiwatch has posted an astonishing tale from England (hattip Solomonia). Part of what to keep in mind here as you read this article, is that no religion is more overtly hostile and disrespectful towards Britain and its cultural inheritance than Islam, from the daily aggressions to suicide terrorism.
The problmes of encroaching Islam in England are pervasive, as discussed in this piece by Damian Thompson. According to Melanie Phillips, England has been chosen as the weakest target for Islamist take-over in Europe, although the alliance with left-wing radicals may actually bump Scotland to the top of the list. Hopefully, even if they haven’t underestimated the folly of England’s leaders, they have underestimated the backbone of the English people. This can still be won without much violence. Right now, the Islamists are laughing at how easy this is.
Excellent meditation by Erin O’Connor of Critical Mass in which she compares and contrasts Alice’s cultural encounters in Wonderland with those of these unfortunate school kids.
Schoolboys disciplined for ‘refusing to pray to Allah’

Two schoolboys were allegedly disciplined after refusing to kneel down and “pray to Allah” during a religious education lesson.A spokesman for Cheshire County Council said ‘Educating children in the beliefs of different faiths is part of Cheshire’s diversity curriculum’
It was claimed that the boys, from a year seven class of 11 and 12-year-olds, were given detention after refusing to take part in a practical demonstration of how Allah is worshipped.
Yesterday parents accused the school of breaching their human rights by forcing them to take part in the exercise.
One, Sharon Luinen, said: “This isn’t right, it’s taking things too far. I understand that they have to learn about other religions. I can live with that but it is taking it a step too far to be punished because they wouldn’t join in Muslim prayer.
“Making them pray to Allah, who isn’t who they worship, is wrong and what got me is that they were told they were being disrespectful.”
Another parent Karen Williams, 38, whose 12-year-old daughter is a classmate of the boys, said: “I am absolutely furious my daughter was made to take part in it and I don’t find it acceptable.
“The teacher had gone into the class and made them watch a short film and then said ‘we are now going out to pray to Allah’.
I’d be interested in a) what the movie was, and b) who made it. As one commenter at Dhimmiwatch put it, “It sure isn’t Fitna or Obsession.”
“Then two boys got detention and all the other children missed their refreshments’ break.”
Why did the other kids miss their refreshments? Is this collective punishment?
She added: “Not only was it forced upon them, my daughter was told off for not doing it right.
“They’d never done it before and they were supposed to do it in another language.”
She said the pupils were asked if they had water on them, and when one girl produced a bottle, the teacher began washing her feet with it.
The teacher’s feet or the girl’s feet?
Her husband Keith, 44, a painter and decorator, said: “The school is wonderful but this one teacher has made a major mistake. It seems to be happening throughout society. People think they can ride roughshod over our beliefs and the way we live.”
And all in the name of respect for those who grant no respect.
The alleged incident, at the Alsager school, one of Cheshire’s top performing schools, happened on Tuesday afternoon. The teacher, Alison Phillips, the school’s subject leader in Religious Education, is understood to be staying away from the school until the furore dies down, although she has not been suspended.
What a bizarre turn of events. Melanie Phillips recently commented that although British officialdom has been acting like dhimmi, the public is furious. This event seems to illustrate that point quite vividly.
She is said to have got prayer mats out of the cupboard and also asked children to wear Islamic headdresses.
Where did the school get these mats from? What Muslim organization has taken the initiative here?
Deputy headmaster Keith Plant said: “I have spoken to the teacher and she has articulately given me her version of events.”
I’d love to hear that.
Sources at the school said the incident could have been down to Miss Phillips instigating a role play and not properly briefing the pupils, all aged around 12, what she was doing.
What does this mean - a role play: that it’s not really serious. That had she “briefed” her 12-year olds, that would have been okay?
A spokesman for Cheshire County Council said they were investigating. He added: “The headteacher contacted the authority immediately complaints were received. Enquiries are being made into the circumstances as a matter of urgency and all parents will be informed accordingly.
So what’s the follow-up?
“Educating children in the beliefs of different faiths is part of Cheshire’s diversity curriculum on the basis that knowledge is, of course, is essential to understanding.
Why is this kind of hands-on experience “essential to understanding”? Do they all receive the eucharist? do they meditate and bow down to a Buddha statue? do they lay tefiillin? Somehow I doubt it. And somehow I doubt they’d ever risk the wrath of the Muslim students’ parents by forcing their children to “role play.”
“We accept that such teaching has to be conducted with commonsense and sensitivity.”
What’s fascinating here is the general trend in English society is away from religion, more specifically Christianity. So this new-found “respect” for religion is purely a response to pressures from the Muslim community, not from any inherent cultural “admiration” for what many Brits think is, to paraphrase their brilliant evolutionary scientist, Richard Dawkins, “supersitious nonsense.”
I have carried on at length at The Augean Stables about demopaths and their dupes. Here we have a classic case of demopaths: the Muslims who insist on having little British kids prepared for what they want — the conversion of England to Islam — under the guise of “religious education” and “learning about the faith of others,” even as they would never tolerate such “exercises in empathy” be imposed upon their own children. And the teacher is clearly a dupe (presuming she’s not a convert to Islam). But she’s also a bizarre combination of intimidated and aggressive. Intimidated by the Muslims, an aggressor against her own charges whom she bullied into submission.
She warmly deserves the prize of “useful idiot” not of the day, but the month and possibly the year. I hope an investigative reporter follows up on this.
UPDATE: One of the commenters at Dhimmiwatch has posted some of the links discussing this:
This story is going mainstream:
FOX NEWS Report: Boys Get Detention for Refusing to Pray to Allah
Channel 4 reports: Prayer refusal pupils ‘disciplined’ “
World Net Daily reports: Boys punished with detention for refusing to pray to Allah
Evening Standard reports: Schoolboys punished with detention for refusing to kneel down and pray to Allah
Daily Mail reports: Schoolboys punished with detention for refusing to kneel down and pray to Allah
Then there are the growing number of bloggers. . .over 200 already
Just curious: If they say the Shahada in a “role playing” context, are they considered legally Muslim by Islamic law? If so, would that make them liable for all of the restrictions against conversion/worship of non-Islamic faith?
As an observant Jew, I would be offended at a group who voluntary “playacted” saying our holy prayers without understanding or intent. Such an activity would be most disrespectful and misguided, and considered taking G-d’s name in vain.
It would also be a problem for someone to ask my Jewish children to “recite” or “playact” saying the words of prayers “accurately” without the correct context that calls for those prayers.
If the teacher in question is not Islamic, then perhaps her lesson in tolerance and diversity would be offensive to Muslims, too.

I know Melanie Phillips’ writing well, I live in Scotland, and I recently joined the SNP. There is not a chance in hell of any Islamic takeover of Scotland. Honestly. Alex Salmond is probably trying to bring certain muslims into the fold because he wants to win a referendum. About 10% of the population of Scotland class themselves as English and this makes it hard, in my opinion, to win that referendum vote. Actually, let me just wrap this up much more quickly…the baggage handler, John Smeaton, who ran to the defence of the police when two Islamists tried to bomb Glasgow airport, did not think twice about defending his people. Scotland is full to bursting with John Smeatons and the number of muslims in Scotland is probably under 1%. Nothing is going to happen in the north of these islands. Rangers will keep playing Celtic, we will still be drinking too much than is good for us, and then there are the midges, a particularly virulent type of biting flea…some days at the height of summer you can’t even go outside for the swarms. Scotland is staying Scottish. Melanie Phillips does not understand the Scottish people or Scotland. Full stop. Sean Connery Akhbar!

i keep insisting that it’s the collapse of education that is finishing off western civilization. this case is a perfect example of it: this so-called teacher has absolutely no clue what education is. 20-30 years ago you would not find such idiots teaching school.
and i don’t think the collapse is reversible. finita la comedia.
as to scotland, it is easy to underestimate a takeover in the short term and this is not the first time that people disregard it as a possibility. but if western civilization goes, it may well be the last time.

Curiouser and curiouser…
Lewis Carroll was one of the first to tell stories through a child’s eyes–and in so doing he did much to help invent the genre of children’s literature. Along the way, he framed lasting notions of how children’s minds work,……
