British Politeness trumps sanity… one more step on the path to Dhimmitude

Neo-Con Latina has a post: “Queen of England: “Long Live the Iranian Revolution” which cites the Queen of England’s warm greetings to the Iranian regime in honor of the 30th anniversary of the regime which, among other things, shattered English sovereignty by putting out a fatwa on an English writer — Salman Rushdie. (H/T: oao)

Queen Elizabeth’s message to the Iranian people (09/02/2009)

It gives me great pleasure to send the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran my warmest greetings on the celebration of your National Day, together with my best wishes for good fortune and happiness in the coming year.

What’s up with these Royals? We all know that Prince Charles may have already converted to Islam. I wonder how many other Royals are practicing Muslims?

Of course, the pro-fascist stance of the British Royal Family is nothing new. During WWII, King Edward VIII met with Hitler and did the full Nazi salute. Here is a picture of this disgraceful meeting:

nazi windsors

And even the regular politicians in England are now giving me the heebie-jeebies. For example, I still don’t know what to make of the Koran-reading, Mohamed-loving Tony Blair. And the former mayor of London, Ken Livingstone, is openly anti-Semitic and enthusiastically pro-Hamas. Is it any wonder that England just banned Geert Wilders from entering the country because he dared to criticize Islam?

There’s a reason they call it “Londonistan.”

I’m sure the good Queen is trying to be helpful, and thereby embodies the very insanity of Western misplaced good intentions. This will, like the picture above, go down in history as one more step on the path to British suicide.

the road to hell is paved with good intentions. good intentions require a minimal level of intelligence, knowledge, understanding and moral values to achieve them. it’s because the west doesn’t have them no more that it’s being discontinued.

incidentally: other than crap what is the queen and her family contribute to anything?

  2. Rich Rostrom says:

Oh please. This statement may be issued in the Queen’s name, but the decision was made by the government. Blame Gordon Brown, blame Foreign Secretary Milband – and blame the career bureaucrats at the Foreign Office, who issue this sort of boilerplate by reflex, and to whom placing any sort of principle above diplomatic habit is completely alien.

As E.G. descirbes in comment #48 on Nick Cohen post

Being polite means, inter alia, telling little lies, half-truths, omitting… you know, those nice hypocrisies that make life so civilised.

  4. E.G. says:

What’s wrong in sending “warmest greetings” to an oppressed people celebrating the oppressing regime’s election date? Is there anything wrong in wishing “good fortune and happiness” to the same people?

Should HRH address the people of Iran with “please don’t let my good people do to me what you, good people, did to your crowned ruler”?

Maybe asking: “How are You?” and not getting pissed off with an honest reply (from the people of course).
Of course Aghmad being polite will reply: “Swimmingly!”

    >Should HRH address the people of Iran with “please don’t let my good people do to me what you, good people, did to your crowned ruler”?

So far Dhimma Carter has not offered to interfere in Londinistan so it might not come to pass quite so quickly as in the space of a plane flight from Paris to Teheran.
But then Rowan Williams is only a stones throw from Westminster (what 5 mins by Bently?) to institute Sharia. Has he already decided on the flavour or will it depend on the day?

my point exactly. why do they need this robot for to use as some sort of cover for their actions?

he did better. he promised not to attack british troops in iraq if the UK lets him have a nuke.

    and here’s the US:

note the inconsistency in ACLU’s behavior.

  9. E.G. says:

    Swimmingly? Naaah!
Ahmi said “swinishly” but it was lost in “translation”.

    what 5 mins by Bently?
    Now here’s a Freudian lapsus!
    Bent to where/what?

  10. Cynic says:

he did better. he promised not to attack british troops in iraq if the UK lets him have a nuke.

And once he gets his nuke, what further promises will enter the playing field?
Assuming of course that they can agree that the promises will not come from the windward side of the cultural divide.

    Bent to where/what?

Do you really want to go there?
Well maybe for the occasion Williams will take a Rolls instead, allowing him more time for his lapsus memoriae to mellow.
Then again the Rolls is only for those Oxfordians as they pout about the city with their lapsus mentalis.

    In whose BentlEy?

BTW, I suspect XHTML grammar to be a serious reason for getting “trapped” by WordPress.

    E.G.
Please expand on this. I’m not up on XHTML and don’t see the connection to the grammar I’m using.

As for tootling around I think it appropriate to use a BentLie.

  14. E.G. says:

BentLie is excellent. What kind of oil and how much does it consume?

I suspect that if/when one uses the XTML tags (such as or ) in some unconventional way (such as forgetting to append one at the end or placing the / inappropriately), it makes the filters nervous.
    Just an ignoramus’ guess.

  15. E.G. says:

    correction:
    (such as or )

    invalidated:
forgetting to append one in the end.

  16. E.G. says:

    sorry. it’s the i and the b between <

  17. Cynic says:

BentLie is excellent. What kind of oil and how much does it consume?

Kind of oil depends on the palm being greased

Palm oil; Coconut oil or Aramco’s stuff (punny business this, int it?)

Consumption: Depending on the palm could be a few million barrels of Aramco.
But then it is a BentLie. Straightening it out a bit could perhaps halve the consumption.

  18. E.G. says:

As they say on Hamas TV: bunny business.

  19. oao says:

And once he gets his nuke, what further promises will enter the playing field?

whatever he wants. that’s the idea.

do you see the west not yielding, if they already yield now? well, he doesn’t either.
