Kindle, it seems, is finally being introduced in my glorious country — where everything related to technology is both less efficient and more expensive.

I’ll buy it, of course, but rather to read maganizens, newspapers, essays and reference material.

However, I’m a book fetichist. There are books I like to read (and own) in such and such edition. Besides, I doubt that many of the old things I’m looking for will be available through Kindle anyway.

For instance, I’ve managed to get recently, through abebooks.com, a rare edition of Ungaretti’s poems translated into Portuguese and published in de 70s, in Lisbon. I had been searching for that book since the 80s. I doubt that it will be released in/through Kindle anytime soon.

    This is hilarious.

Actually, it looks as if it comes from that great Web site http://www.engrish.com.

This Web site was developed by someone who lives in Japan, and who for several years has posted hilarious examples of misconstrued English found on signs, packaging, clothing, etc. He also has examples from China and elsewhere in Asia.

Definitely worth a look. It’s often laugh-out-loud funny.
