having lived under the terrorist’s rockets i do not have the stomach to finish watching this disgusting glamorization of apartheid terrorists and their useful idiots on their fool’s errand. they should be glad i’m not israeli prime minister because i’d sink every single boat that even points their hull in the direction of gaza.

  2. Matthys says:

CNN should have interrupted Mr. Osama the moment he started to compare Israel to the Nazi’s. When Rosemary didn’t prevent him from continuing to talk that way, the CNN producers should have intervened. In name of decency.

  3. E.G. says:

    What is there to say?
Had CNN existed in 1930, the whole world would have had access to Goebbels’ speeches. Would it have made a difference?

One does wonder why the heart-breaking report from Gaza, illustrating the terrible “humaterranian” (that’s what the boat guy keeps saying) situation is missing.

As for the balance – what, partially quoting Regev is not enough?

  4. SE says:

He comes with nothing but peace and love, and yet he plans on treating the Israeli Navy like pirates [good luck with that], and having spent years (!) practicing non-violent responses?
Notice he did not answer the one challenging question posed to him: why not just let Israel OR EGYPT check the stuff, and then it can go through?
And why does Israel owe Gaza anything?
He speaks with his family daily, and there is a shortage of electric and water!?
Any reason these guys don’t go through the Egyptian port?
I wish she had asked him about denying Noam Shalit’s offer.
    Etc.

0:34 – Wrong! These are not peace activists. These are a blend of Mooonbat Marxists and cutthroat Islamists who care about Gaza as much as, or even less than, Hamas.

0:56 – Wrong! The so-called Turkish humanitarian group is anything but. This is the kind of activity IHH is proud of:

Israeli attempts to destroy al-Aqsa Mosque were protested in Istanbul following the Friday prayers at Beyazıt Mosque. Groups of people gathered at Beyazıt Square chanting slogans and takbir after the prayers. They staged a mock-up of Masjid al-Aqsa and carried banners and posters reading “Masjid al-Aqsa is Our Honor, A Thousand Greeting to al-Aqsa, Cut Relations with Zionist Gangs, Cooperation with Israel is a Crime.” The protestors carried Palestinian flags and chanted slogans like “Hail to Hamas, Carry on Resistance, Shoot, shoot at Israel, Hamas, Down with Israel.”

Some of the protestors carried photographs of Palestinian children throwing stones at Israeli forces and an effigy with “We are Ready for Jihad” written on.

Bülent Yıldırım, president of the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, warned that if Israel built the temple named the Third Temple, all Muslims would march to al-Quds. Masjid al-Aqsa is sacred to Muslims, Yıldırım recalled and “We do not oppose your shrines. However, if you attack our shrines, you will see not only Palestinians, Palestinian women, youngsters and children guarding these shrines. We all Muslims will shield them with our bodies.”

A group of protestors torched the Israeli flag and an effigy after the prayer.

Hardly the stuff Human Rights are made of, unless they are for one side at the expense of another’s destruction.

01:14 – Wrong. As noted before, there is nothing Humanitarian about these ships. This is the most obvious propaganda stunt against a country in decades and yet looks like CNN is Completely Not Noticing.

Thank you Humateranian Osama. And now let’s turn to the Israeli spokesman Mark Regev for a response… No, Wait…

CNN will say what it knows people wanna hear. The rest is conversation.

It seems that most of Gaza bound ships are riding around in circles off shore Cyprus.

east… no 180 degree turn, west, no I changed my mind, east… How long until 700 passengers start eating food they were supposed to bring to Gaza? It has been days, and they have been wasting fuel riding back and forth near cyprus giving interviews for the media.

world media has been talking about them for a week, but they haven’t moved 100 miles from cyprus. Either they have worst navigators ever, or they have no intent reaching Gaza and are just riding off shore cyprus as a publicity stunt.

Mavi Marmara, main ship in the convoy, seems to be moving, but doing only 3.6kt (very slow) and they are going the wrong way, they seem to have missed Gaza by 1000 nm and are on their way to Lebanon.

    MUST READ!!!

We are full of love for the whole world.

How many people will believe that love is enough to justify this pretty disgusting show?

  10. Eliyahu says:

Here is a view of the “freedom flotilla” divergent from that given by Rosemary’s baby.

Except for Israel and Shalit. There are exceptions, you know.

  13. sshender says:

People, forget about the Guardian, Independent or Le Monde, here’s how the Gaza flotilla is being covered by the official English speaking Russian mouthpiece RT News:

Freedom flotilla ready to break the Gaza Strip blockade

Nine ships fitted from the UK, Ireland, Greece, Turkey, Kuwait and Algeria are gathering in the Mediterranean to put an end to the 3-year Gaza Strip blockade.
    Yahoo StumbleUpon Google Live Technorati
    del.icio.us Digg Reddit Mixx Propeller

They are to bring medications, medical equipment, construction materials and house parts to the 1.5 million Palestinian residents who have been punished collectively for three years – something unprecedented in contemporary history.

Besides, the Palestinians have no capacity to accommodate 1.5 million people, most of whom are already refugees. Neither do they have the army that would be capable of enforcing a military solution to the problem.

    http://rt.com/Top_News/2010-05-25/gaza-peace-mission-ships.html

I doubt it whether Press TV could have phrased that any “better”.

  14. sshender says:

Neither do they have the army that would be capable of enforcing a military solution to the problem.

WTF?!!!!!!! I suggest Israel has a similar piece about the defenseless Chechen Mujaheds resisting the brunt of the Russian military machine with rocks and sticks.

Can you believe the insolence of these bastards?

  16. E.G. says:

    sshender,

Can you believe the insolence of these bastards?

    Yes :-(
They’re very good at it. Made the training matrix for lots of “journalists” in the “free media”.

  17. Eliyahu says:

shender, both Turkey and Russia have a long history of suppressing insurgents, rebels, opposition demonstrators with an iron hand.

So it’s obvious to you and me that both states are trying to paint themselves as “humanitarian” blah blah at Israel’s/the Jews’ expense. They know that the Western “Left” has such a overpowering Judeophobia –essentially Nazi in character [Consider pre-WW2 Nazi anti-Jewish propaganda] that Turkish and Russian intervention in favor of “palestinian” Arabs will lead the “Left” to forget all the offenses of Russia and Turkey just as long as they join the anti-Jewish bandwagon. Even some Greeks are apparently willing to forget what the Turks did to them so that they can join hands with the Turks in the anti-Jewish effort. Ireland was a land where education was long in the hands of the Church. No doubt this education inclined to the Father Coughlin type. The Irish participation would seem to confirm this.

  18. sshender says:

    Eliyahu,

Indeed, every time there is some anti-Israel action, some countries stand out more than others, and Ireland, coupled with Greece and Spain seen to have a special “affinity” with all matters Israeli. I’ve excluded Turkey because it’s participation is a relatively new phenomena, fueled, in part, by the AKP Islamist take over of the country. In fact, it seemed odd (from an ideological, not strategical POW) that Turkey has “abstained” for so long from adopting a more anti-Israel line to express solidarity with their Muslim “brothers”, given how strong the feelings of tribalism are in the Middle East.

  19. obsy says:

If this mission is all about aid, why didn’t they show the goods at least once?

Wouldn’t it have been a great effect if they had shown all the containers, cement and chocolate they are bringing with them?

  20. obsy says:

    Since nobody else mentioned it:

The reporter uses her pronunciation against Israel.
It has a mocking disbelieving absurd kind of undertone in it when she introduces the Israeli position.

And yes, she should have interrupted this guy. Not only when he started to talk about concentration camps, but when he refused to answer her questions too. That’s what reporters do, isn’t it?

  21. obsy says:

I wonder if these guys would have gone peacefully to German concentration camps to deliver their aid…

  22. obsy says:

I have to correct myself: She interrupted him three times. One time even to rephrase a question.

  23. SE says:

You know, if I were anything but an interested, critical observer of affairs in the Middle East, I would be persuaded by the general message of the Gazan interviewee.
    This is a problem…

  24. sshender says:

    SE,

Indeed. And herein lies the problem and Israel’s propaganda impotence.
